eCAP Module is Crashing SquidΒΆ

Important

This issue seems to be fixed by the ClamAV update team. Nevertheless, please have in mind that Squid proxy loads the ClamAV engine into its process. So, any possible problems with ClamAV updates might result into the same issue happening again.

Currently we have an unresolved issue with eCAP module crashing Squid upon startup. Your dashboard may look like the following screenshot.

Log message of Squid indicates an error when initializing Engine #1 (or #2 etc).

The only solution is now to disable eCAP ClamAV antivirus while we are investigating the problem. The issue can be followed at https://github.com/diladele/websafety/issues/2012.
